11 July, 2024 13:08

As expected, India have decided against playing the ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan and suggested two other venues for their matches.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has adopted a similar approach to the Asia Cup 2023, hosted by Pakistan, which was played under a hybrid model.

The BCCI is once again pushing a similar format for the ICC Champions Trophy with their matches to be played in either Dubai or Sri Lanka.

India have not toured Pakistan since 2008 and the archrivals play each other only at multi-team events

The eight-nation tournament is scheduled to be held in Pakistan in from February 19 to March 09.

This is the first ICC tournament hosted by Pakistan since it co-hosted the 1996 World Cup with India and Sri Lanka.

As per the proposed schedule, India are set to lock horn against arch-rivals Pakistan on March 01 in Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.

Apart from that, they are set to play remaining matches in Pakistan.
