Indian cricketers in awe of Arshad Nadeem

Former Indian cricketers praised Arshad Nadeem, who won the historic gold medal for Pakistan in the men’s javelin throw event of the Paris Olympics 2024.

World Cup winner Yuvraj Singh has congratulated Arshad Nadeem on winning the gold medal for Pakistan in an Instagram post.

“Heartiest congratulations to Arshad Nadeem as well – for scripting history with an incredible 92.97m throw and breaking the Olympic record!” wrote the 2011 World Cup winner.

Yuvraj also congratulated Indian athlete Neeraj Chopra, who won a silver medal in the event

“Proving yet again that his spirit to win is as unbreakable as his javelin’s flight. You have not only won a historic silver medal but have also brought a golden moment for every Indian heart,” he wrote.

“Here’s to the champion who reminds us all that even in silver, there lies a golden journey of perseverance and pride. Congratulation Neeraj Chopra,”  he added.

Nadeem also received praise from a large number of Indian fans for historic feat at the Paris Olympics..

Indian cricket legend Ravi Shastri congratulated Arshad Nadeem and said that Arshad Nadeem needed a brilliant throw to break the 90-meter barrier twice. “Undoubtedly you are a great athlete.”

He congratulated Neeraj Chopra on his outstanding performance and said that continuous involvement with discipline in the Olympics is nothing short of a success.
