Another Iranian university has offered scholarships to students who have been expelled for taking part in pro-Palestinian demonstrations on campuses in the US and the Europe.

Tehran’s Shahid Beheshti University Dean Seyed Mahmoud Aghamiri has offered scholarships to the students expelled for protesting against Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

Earlier, Shiraz University had offered to the students and professors expelled or threatened with expulsion in the US and Europe to join the prestigious school in Iran.

Aghamiri said that we will accept students who have been expelled from the American and European universities for protesting against the Israeli genocide in Gaza.

The dean of Shahid Beheshti University further said that  the university will provide scholarship to  these students and we fully cover the cost of education, dormitory and accommodation.

He added that Shahid Beheshti University will also provide special support to Palestinian students whose lives have been affected as a result of the Israeli aggression.

On the other hand, the US and European students have been facing arrests or expulsion after their protests in support of a Gaza ceasefire and against Israeli aggression.

Students have set up protest camps at around 30 US university campuses since last month.

University campuses in Canada, Australia, France, Italy and the UK have also seen camps erected by pro-Palestinian protesters.

Hundreds of policemen swarmed the site of a pro-Palestinian protest at the Los Angeles’ University of California, arresting demonstrators and dismantling their encampment.
