A retired Major General of the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) has claimed that Israel will be wiped out of existence by next year due to the war with Hamas and tensions with Iran.

In a statement regarding the current situation in the Middle East, ongoing war with Hamas and the tension with Iran, Maj Gen Yitzhak Barik warned that if Hamas and Israel start a war in the region in the event of failure of the Israel negotiations, Tel Aviv will be under serious threats, several statements by Defence Minister Yoav Gallant regarding the goals of the Gaza war have not yet been fulfilled and if Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his allies are not replaced then the country will be destroyed by the next year.

The former IDF officer said that the threats of Iran and Hamas to destroy Israel are not empty threats. He also spoke about the threats to Israel due to the ongoing war with Hamas and tensions with Hezbollah.

He said:”I have come to the conclusion that the UAF Gallant has also realized that Israel has failed to achieve its war objectives and that we are stuck in the quagmire of Gaza.” Despite not achieving the primary objective of weakening Hamas, we are losing our soldiers, he added.

Earlier in July, retired Major General Isaac Burke expressed his concern over the Israeli aggression in Gaza and tensions with Hezbollah. He claimed that the Israeli army is failing miserably in the Gaza Strip and that a war with Hezbollah is imminent. Israel will face a strategic setback and it will be because Israel has suffered a series of major military losses in recent days.
