JI condemns mismanagement in MDCAT test
On Sunday, the entrance test for MBBS and BDS was held at Dow Ojha Campus and NED University, in which 12,846 candidates participated for 858 seats in Karachi. However, severe mismanagement was observed.
Ibrahim Adil, spokesperson for Islami Jamiat Talaba Karachi, issued a statement condemning the mismanagement in the MDCAT test:
“MDCAT test mismanagement has become a yearly routine. Sometimes, the question paper leaks, and other times, candidates face inadequate facilities.”
He further stated:
“The test centers lacked basic facilities, causing difficulties for students. The Sindh government and PMDC’s incompetence has affected the students who came to take the test.”
He highlighted the issues faced by students:
– Poor road conditions leading to the test centers (NED University and Dow Ojha Campus) caused traffic jams, making it difficult for students to arrive on time.
– Long queues wasted students’ time.
– Candidates were not allowed to enter the test centers due to a mere 10-minute delay.
Ibrahim Adil demanded that the Sindh government:
1. Address these issues immediately.
2. Provide a swift solution to the problems faced by students.
3. Take notice of the mismanagement.
