22 February, 2024 15:49

Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Naib Ameer Liaquat Baloch has urged to form an independent judicial commission for probe into the allegations of rigging in the February 8 general elections.

The JI leader stated that the Pakistan People’s Party and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-P (MQM) were granted carte blanche for rigging during the polls in Sindh province.

He further said that records of rigging were broken in Punjab as well.

Baloch strongly criticized the unbearable rising of electricity, gas and petrol prices. He said allowing drug manufacturing firms to raise prices was enmity with the masses.

Earlier, Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha has announced to approach the Election Tribunal against the irregularities in the general election.

Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha while speaking on a local TV show complained about the irregularities in the general election.

The PML-N leader said that the returning officer did not allow me to enter the RO office during the counting of votes on the day of the election which is wrong according to the law.

During the conversation in the program, Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha announced that he would go to the Election Tribunal with his complaints.
