Met woman at 4:40am because doctor advised avoiding the sun: Khalilur Rehman Qamar

Renowned screenwriter Khalilur Rehman Qamar was allegedly kidnapped, tortured, and looted in Lahore earlier this week.

According to the first information report (FIR), the suspects tortured Khalilur Rheman Qamar and took him to various places.

The writer alleged that the abductors threatened to kill him.

Police said a woman named Amna called the scriptwriter and invited him to her house to discuss a drama project. Upon Qamar’s arrival, armed men abducted him and committed the robbery.

The FIR said that Qamar reached the given location at approximately 4:40am, where Urooj welcomed him into her house.

However, soon after he sat down, there was a knock on the door, and around seven armed men entered the room. The men conducted a body search, seizing Rs60,000, an iPhone 11, a Bank Al-Habib ATM card, and Qamar’s national identity card.

In a press conference today, Rehman disclosed that doctors have advised him to avoid sunlight. For this reason, he met with the woman late at night.

At a press conference held on Monday with police officials, journalists inquired about the reason behind Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar’s decision to meet the woman late at night.

“I am sick and my doctor has strictly told me to not go out in the daytime for five years,” he told media.
