Lightning strikes leave 5 dead in Rahim Yar Khan

Five people were killed in separate lightning incidents in different areas of Rahim Yar Khan.

According to rescue sources, two children were killed due to lightning in Rahim Yar Khan’s Village Kalwar, while one person was killed due to lightning strike in Thal Hasan.

The sources said a husband and wife died due to lightning strike in Basti Khokhran Feroza.

It should be remembered that three youths were killed due to lightning in Sorab during heavy rains in Balochistan.

Meanwhile, the weather became pleasant with thundershowers in several cities of Punjab including Rajanpur and Bhakkar.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Parachinar city and adjacent areas received rain and snow on the mountains, while Quetta and its surrounding areas also received heavy rain. Heavy rains with strong winds also reported in Neelum Valley.

The sandstorm from the border desert of Afghanistan entered the Pakistani areas due to which trees were uprooted, mud walls, solar panels fell in several in Chaman, Qila Abdullah, Pashin, Gulistan, Jangal Pir Alizai and Saranan.
