Local singer sends Rs180m defamation notice to Chahat Fateh Ali Khan

A local singer has sent a damages notice worth Rs180 million to social media celebrity Chahat Fateh Ali Khan.

Qaisar Munir, in the legal notice, stated that Chahat Fateh Ali sang late Nusrat Fateh Ali’s songs in an inappropriate manner and showed false family relationship with the legendary singer.

It has been alleged that Chahat Fateh Ali damaged Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s singing reputation. Qaiser Munir has sent Rs180 million defamation notice to the singer.

Earlier, social media celebrity Chahat Fateh Ali Khan made a big offer to the Pakistan Cricket Board after national team’s exit from the ICC T20 World Cup.

Currently, Chahat Fateh Ali Khan is in London to promote his debut film Sabaq, where he spoke to a private TV channel and expressed his views on the poor performance of the national team in the World Cup.

The singer said that the Pakistan Cricket Board needs an experienced cricketer as a chairman. I want to be made the PCB chairman. I will go to the ground four days a week and evaluate the performance and coaching of the players. I will select only one coach for the national team and will personally go and see how my chosen coach is coaching our national team, he added. To which, a journalist asked him if he wants to replace himself with Mohsin Naqvi as PCB chief? Answering the question, Chahat Fateh Ali Khan said that there is no such thing, but he wants Mohsin Naqvi to think calmly about his offer once. The singer continued that Mohsin Naqvi is also performing the duties of the federal minister of interior along with being the PCB chairman. Therefore, I want him to give responsibilities of PCB chief to me, the singer concluded.
