Long-awaited Grand Theft Auto VI gets release date

Rockstar Games parent Take-Two Interactive has finally announced the release date of their highly-anticipated video game “Grand Theft Auto VI”.

Last year, the developers announced to release the next installment of to the blockbuster franchise without providing further details.

“We do feel highly confident that we’ll deliver [Grand Theft Auto VI] in fall of 2025,” Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick told IGN in an interview when asked if he was concerned that GTA 6 may get delayed.

The trailer shows GTA VI will be set in fictional Vice City, reminiscent of Miami, and appears to feature the first playable female character in the franchise.

Rockstar Games officially revealed Grand Theft Auto 6 last December, with the first official trailer becoming the most-viewed video game reveal on YouTube within 24 hours.

Ever since, question have swirled around GTA 6’s release date with fans going feral over details like website updates.

Internal conflicts over Rockstar’s return to office policy has led to questions over whether GTA 6 will ultimately be delayed into 2026.

However, as of right now, it looks like Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar are set on getting it out by its intended release date.
