Babar Azam has decided to take legal action against anchor Mubashir Luqman, who accused the Pakistan white-ball captain for match fixing in a YouTube video.

According to reports, the prolific batter has already taken legal advice to send defamation notice to the anchor over the matter.

Mubashir Luqman’s video cause a stir on social media when he made serious allegations of match-fixing against Babar Azam following Pakistan’s early exit from the T20 World Cup 2024.

He levelled some serious allegations against Babar in particular, claiming that the batter received expensive gifts in return for losing international matches.

Luqman claimed Babar’s Audi E-Tron GT, which the cricketer said was a gift from his brother, was acquired from questionable bookies.

He also claimed that the prolific batter also got apartments in Australia and Dubai.

Moreover, the anchor raised several questions regarding Pakistan defeat against USA, Afghanistan, and Ireland.

Apart from that he also slammed former skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi for his poor performance in the tournament.

Pakistan cricket fans on X had urged the PCB to investigate the allegations made by Luqman.

It should be noted that Pakistan cashed out from the T20 World Cup after blow par performance.

The national team is under severe criticism after losing to the United States and India.
