Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar disclosed this.

In a tweet on Friday, he alerted that field reports are showing complete disregard of the condition of vaccination for those attending indoor weddings and going to indoor restaurants and gyms.

He further warned that the government would have no choice but to shutdown if the owners of these facilities do not show responsibility and ensure compliance.

He said two weeks back he had tweeted that our artificial intelligence models are showing possible emergence of 4th wave.

Now, he said that they are seeing clear early signs of 4th wave starting.

Asad Umar said poor SOP compliance, coupled with spread of variants of concern, Indian variant in particular, are the main cause.

Meanwhile, NCOC confirmed over 1730 cases of Coronavirus during last 24 hours.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre, twenty-five people died due to Coronavirus.

It further stated that the labs conducted 47,528 tests.

As many as 1,737 new positive cases of the infection detected.

Positivity ratio remained 3.65 percent.

Meanwhile, the death toll due to pandemic in the country has reached 22,520.
