Minorities in Pakistan enjoying complete religious freedom as per the constitution, said Minister for Religious Affairs Dr. Noor-ul-Haq Qadri.

He stated this, while addressing a ceremony of Paigham-e-Pakistan in Islamabad on Thursday.

He further said minorities in Pakistan have a historical connection to this land and are the valuable citizens of this country.

The Minister noted the state prepared Paigham-e-Pakistan document after an extensive consultative process and hard work.

He vowed that now it should be implemented in letter and spirit.

Furthermore, he noted an exemplary interfaith harmony and sectarian unity in Pakistan.

However, he claimed harmony and unity due to prudent steps taken by the government taking all religious scholars and stakeholders on board.

The Minister said elements who hurt the feelings of any religious class are enemies of Pakistan and Islam as well.

Youth have an important role to play

On the other hand, Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar said the youth have an important role to play in the welfare and development of the country.

He was speaking at a ceremony in Islamabad on Thursday after administering oath to the members of National Youth Council in Islamabad today.

The Minister further said noted Pakistan youth as exceptionally talented.

He said their involvement in the decision making will help take forward the country.
