Naqvi to share PCB power with former Pakistan captain

It looks like Mohsin Naqvi has finally decided to share his power at the Pakistan Cricket Board with the former pacer Waqar Younis.

Under the new system, Naqvi will look after the administrative matters of the board, while Waqar would deal will cricket related issues.

Naqvi will make all the decisions including international, domestic, selection committee matters, players’ No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) at the board.  His primary task will be on the administrative affairs of the Champions Trophy.

As per the PCB Constitution 2014, the Chairman has the authority to delegate his power to anyone.

“Waqar Younis will be in charge of all matters related to the national team. They will see the National Selection Committee white ball red ball coaches. Mohsin Naqvi chairman wanted to involve experienced cricketers in the important aspects of cricket,” sources claimed.

An official announcement regarding these changes is expected soon.

Additionally, Naqvi mentioned that the interior ministry is concerned about the amount of time he spends on PCB duties.
