Moms, married women eligible of Miss Universe pageant

In a revolutionary step, Miss Universe Singapore has allowed married, divorcees and moms for their upcoming annual beauty contest.

This is going to be the first time the aforementioned women would take part in the beauty contest, which is set to take place in September this year.

The shift is dubbed as an attempt by the organization to live up to its name and become a more inclusive place.

The move would add more-healthy competition.

Although the Miss Universe Organization officially lifted the top age limit in 2024, contestants must be at least 18 years old to compete in the event.

The contestant must also be based in Singapore and have live there for at least six months before September 01.

But currently, 1.68 meters is the minimal height needed. In 2023, there was none.
