After the formal approval of the final looks of all three major cricket stadiums in Pakistan under the new upgradation programmed were revealed, the more details of the program are making rounds on social media.

Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi recently approved the looks of Karachi’s National Bank Stadium, Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium and Rawalpindi’s Pindi Cricket Stadium for the ICC Champions trophy.

Though, Karachi’s iconic stadium will be upgraded in two phases, with first phase to be completed before the ICC Champions Trophy.

However, new details about the stadiums are making rounds online.

As per details, these stadiums will receive new lighting systems in preparation for the major tournament.

Pakistan is gearing up to host the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, and the PCB is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that all preparations are in place.

The board’s decision to install new floodlights is part of a broader initiative to equip smaller venues, including Quetta, Abbottabad, and Peshawar, with light towers.

The existing floodlights of Karachi and Lahore stadiums will be relocated to Quetta and Rawalpindi respectively.

The PCB has also initiated the process of inviting tenders from eligible companies to supply the lights on a rental basis from August 2024 to July 2025.

Apart from that, the board has also invited tenders for the provision of generators to several cities, including Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan, Faisalabad, Abbottabad, Quetta, and Peshawar.
