NCOC permits Majalis with SOPs on Youm e Ali ,  martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Ali.

A meeting of National Command and Operation Center held in Islamabad today (Saturday).

Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar presided the meeting.

It decided to ban all sort of processions whilst permitting Majalis under strict Covid SOPs on the occasion of  Youm-e-Ali.

They made this decision while keeping in view the risk factor due to the ongoing surge in Covid-19 especially in major urban centers.

Moreover, the forum emphasized the need to engage the religious scholars and community leaders at provincial and district levels for implementation of these decisions.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Secretary Jawad Rafique Malik directed the Provincial Healthcare Commission to carry out monitoring of the treatment facilities for Coronavirus patients at private hospitals.

He issued these directions while presiding over a meeting at the Civil Secretariat in Lahore.

He directed to ensure that medical facilities are being provided to them at the fixed charges on the allocated beds.

Moreover, the meeting reviewed the situation of coronavirus in the province.

They also reviewed treatment facilities for the patients and supply of oxygen in the hospitals.

While speaking at the meeting, the Chief Secretary said that we can prevent coronavirus through precautionary measures.
