Netizens praise Hamid Mir for siding with rigging victims

Social networking sites abuzz with a tweets showering heaps of praise on Pakistani journalist and author Hamid Mir.

Several of his social media posts have shown his stance opposing alleged rigging during the recent general elections, in which no single party has gained a clear simple majority, sparking a political chaos across the country.

The renowned journalist openly supporting the parties making a hue and cry over alleged rigging in the elections, many considered the country’s most controversial.

Netizens sharing the senior TV anchor’s posts showering praise on him for standing with the political parties allegedly subjected to electoral victimization by the ‘certain quarters’.

In one of his social media, the respected journo said: “Some people do not believe in the rule of law and that is the biggest problem.”

Hamid also came hard on the politicians who switched their loyalties after winning the elections.

Yesterday, Grand Democratic Alliance leader Pir Pagara has lauded the performance of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) backed independent candidates in the General elections saying that Imran Khan-led party pulled off a “miracle” despite obstacles.

The GDA leader was referring to restrictions faced by the PTI supporters since their government was taken out of power though a no-confidence motion back in March 2022.

“If you don’t give respect and justice in this country then people will find alternate path,” said Pir Pagara while addressing a party power show in Jamshoro.
