New Covid variant spreads to 27 countries

People in different countries began to fall victim to the new variant of Corona, which has spread to 27 countries.

According to media reports, a new type of Corona called XEC has emerged which is spreading rapidly in European countries. Scientists have warned that the new variant of Corona is rapidly starting to show its effect.

The strain is reportedly more contagious and was first seen in Germany in June. It has since been found in 27 other countries including the UK, US, Denmark and China.

According to international media, the variant called XEC is a combination of two previous Covid strains, KS1.1 and KP3.3, which are common in Europe. Researchers have so far found XEC in 500 samples from 27 countries, including several European countries and China.

No cases of XEC have been reported from India. According to the British Broadcasting Corporation, XEC has undergone various changes such that it can spread more easily in autumn. Eric Topol warns that the spread of XEC has only just begun.
