Nora Fatehi tenders apology

Bollywood actress and dancer Nora Fatehi has apologized for her previous statements criticizing feminism, saying they were taken out of context.

In a recent interview, Fatehi expressed regret for upsetting people and hurting them with her words.

Last year, Fatehi sparked controversy when she stated that feminism had “messed up” society, advocating for traditional gender roles and dismissing the idea of independence. She had said, “I don’t believe in this idea of ‘I don’t need anybody’, ‘feminism’… I think women are nurturers.”

However, Fatehi now clarifies that she was not against the ideology of self-sufficiency, but rather stressed the importance of nuclear families and traditional values in raising children. She urged for a balance between personal independence and upholding societal morals.

In her latest interview, Fatehi stated, “I definitely apologize for making people upset and hurting them, but that was not the intention at all.” She emphasized her desire to preserve cultural traditions and values, saying, “I don’t want what’s happening in the West to happen in this part of the world.”

Fatehi’s apology comes as a response to the backlash she faced for her initial comments, which were perceived as anti-feminist.

The 32-year-old actress has since sought to rectify her stance, acknowledging the importance of feminism while also promoting traditional values.
