Now you can apply online for driving licence

The online driving licence (DL) service will be enabled from next week in Sindh.

Citizens will be able to benefit from online learning and renewal including international DL at home, the DIG Driving Licence, Sindh, told a meeting held on facilitating online issuance of licences.

It was mentioned that the online facility will include details of personal information, licence fee and the name of bank where fee was submitted. Besides, citizens will have to submit medical fitness and ‘Form B’ for licence renewal or obtaining permanent licence.

DIG Iqbal Dara further said that medical fitness issued by government or private hospital and Form B will have to be submitted. He added that proposals related to medical fitness and Form B for overseas DL renewal are under consideration.

In the meeting, IG Ghulam Nabi Memon expressed that online DL should be started on an experimental basis. In future, mobile van facility can also be introduced for the convenience of citizens.

Memon added that the purpose of issuing online DL is to provide adequate facilities to the citizens, adding the driving licence data will be digitized using modern technology.
