Hezbollah targets Haifa, the Israel’s third-largest city, Israeli police said early on Monday. The country’s media reported 10 people were injured in the north.

The group said it targeted a military base located in south of Haifa with a salvo of “Fadi 1” missiles. Reports said two rockets targeted Haifa on Israel’s Mediterranean Coast and five others hit Tiberias 65km (40 miles) away.

A year since the start of the war in Gaza, Hamas chief negotiator and deputy Gaza chief Khalil Al-Hayya said in a televised speech that Israel is still blocking a ceasefire agreement despite the group’s flexibility.

He urged countries to stop what he called their double-standards over Gaza and Lebanon.

Meanwhile, Syrian air defence intercepted hostile targets in the country’s central region, state media said.

The official SANA news agency said that our air defence systems are intercepting hostile targets in the airspace of the central region of the country.

Israeli strikes causing explosions in Homs province, central Syria, says the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights war monitor.
