Over 1340 new cases of Coronavirus detected during last 24 hours, according to the National Command and Operation Centre.

The NVOC further reported that 19 more people died due to Coronavirus infection.

Labs conducted 45,245 tests in the country during the last 24 hours.

As many as 1,347 new positive cases detected

Positivity ratio remained 2.97 per cent.

Now, the death toll due to pandemic in the country has reached 22,427.

Meanwhile, National Command and Operation Centre has issued detailed instructions to all federating units.

It issued directives regarding strict implementation of Covid-19 safety protocols during Eid-ul-Azha.

The forum has directed the provincial authorities to ensure that the cattle markets remain outside the cities.

Furthermore, it called for implementing the SOPs there in the light of these guidelines.

According to the NCOC guidelines, it will be mandatory for all staff and livestock vendors to be vaccinated.

The NCOC also warned that responsibility lie with the administration of the market to provide facilities for hand sanitizer, masks and rapid antigen test at entry points.

Meanwhile, by and large, people evinced interest in vaccination.

Those not vaccinated are approaching the vaccination centres across the country.

Mostly, people prefer Chinese vaccine, although other vaccines also remain available.
