Pakistan Army shoots down Indian quadcopter at LoC
The Pakistan Army has shot down an Indian quadcopter that was spying the country’s territory near the Line of Control (LoC), ISPR said Tuesday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) the quadcopter was shot down of February 25. “A search operation was initiated for the remains of the device.”
“The security forces successfully retrieved the remains the next day,” it added.
It is worth mentioning here that, people of Pakistan are celebrating the success of Operation Swift Retort in 2019 when the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) shot down an intruding fighter plane of the IAF.
The pilot of the fighter jet Abhinandan Varthaman was captured and was later released as a goodwill gesture.
“He was arrested when his military jet MIG-21 crashed in Azad Jammu & Kashmir after being shot down by Pakistan Air Force for violating Pakistani airspace on February 27, 2019. While in captivity, he was treated with dignity and in line with international law. Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr. Imran Khan announced his return as a goodwill gesture aimed at de-escalating rising tensions with India,” FO had said in a statement.
