Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed shared this news in a tweet.

Pakistan govt decides to open two new border crossings on Pak Iran border

He tweet after a meeting with Minister for Defence Production Zubaida Jalal in Islamabad on Monday.

Furthermore, he said the government has decided to open two new border crossings at Chowk Aap and Jalgi (Buleda) on Pakistan Iran border.

The Interior Minister said the border crossings will not only help boost bilateral trade between Pakistan and Iran but also promote tourism in the area.

On April 21, 2021, Pakistan and Iran formally opened Pishin Mand border crossing point.

The Pishin Mand Crossing Point situated adjacent to Kech district in Balochistan.

Formal opening of this third border crossing point will strengthen their trade and economic relations.

Minister for Defence Production, Zubaida Jalal and Iranian Minister for Road and Urban Development Muhammad Islami attended the event.

While addressing the event, Minister for Defence Production Zubaida Jalal noted it as historic step.

She called it historic step for Pakistan and Iran and for the people of Balochistan in particular.

Furthermore, she also noted strengthening relations between the both countries under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
