Pakistan protest Afghan President over meddling into internal affairs of the neighbouring country. 

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan and Ministry of Foreign Affairs have reacted to Ashraf Ghani’s tweet.
Dr Awan said Tuesday that recent tweet of Afghan President Ashraf Ghani was an interference in the internal affairs of Pakistan.

In a tweet, she reminded Afghan President of his tweet contrary to diplomatic norms.

She further reminded that Afghan leadership should keep in mind the principles of non-interference in international relations.
Moreover, Firdous Awan said Pakistan strongly advocated promotion of peace in the region.
Pakistan desires working collectively for achievement of shared target of peace in Afghanistan.

However, she said it remains obligatory under the law to take action against those who speak against the Pakistan’s Constitution.
While paying tributes to the martyrs, she said that Pakistan’s Armed Forces and brave masses had rendered great sacrifices for restoration of peace.
Furthermore, she said that miscreants would not be allowed to destroy peace of the motherland.
She warned that law of the land would take its course against them.

Foreign Office reaction

Meanwhile, foreign office on Monday noted with serious concern the recent tweets.
The foreign office spokesperson issued a press release late Monday night.
She termed them as a clear interference in Pakistan’s internal affairs and unwarranted.

Pakistan believe that such statements are not helpful to the promotion of good neighbourly relations between the two countries.

According to her, Pakistan wishes to maintain close and cordial relations with Afghanistan.

However these relations based on the principles of non-intervention and non-interference.

She urged the Afghan side to work together for the common objective of peace and stability in Afghanistan and the region.

The arrest of Manzoor Pashteen seems to have irked Afghanistan but Pakistan government rejected propaganda.
