Pakistan to be governed by the rule of law or by NAB, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi

Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi today asserted that either the country will be governed by the rule of law, or by NAB.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi while talking to the media outside National Accountability Bureau (NAB) court in Karachi : “We ask the NAB and the court what are our cases. Look at the cases of Nawaz Sharif, how the court issued decisions before the election. But after five years he has been acquitted by the High Court”.

The former PM said now Nawaz Sharif is acquitted, someone should ask former chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Javed Iqbal that why he was creating these fake cases.

Abbasi expressed frustration with the NAB and called for a justice system based on fairness and transparency, adding ” If you want to run the country then there should be no NAB.

 

 

” A person who has been Prime Minister for three times, if he does not get the justice, than who will. Look at the other developing countries, where there is justice that country will develop”, Abbasi added.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi approached the Sindh High Court, seeking the removal of his name on the Exit Control List (ECL).The court had placed Abbasi on ECL in a case related to illegal appointment in Pakistan State Oil (PSO).

The petition contends that the ban on Abbasi’s international travel was in violation of his fundamental rights guaranteed under the Constitution.The court had placed Abbasi on ECL in a case related to illegal appointment in Pakistan State Oil (PSO).
