Pakistan to face Japan in Azlan Shah Cup final today

Pakistan will face Japan in the final game of the ongoing Sultan Azlan Shah Cup 2024 in Malaysia’s Ipoh today.
Both the teams are remained unbeaten in the tournament with Japan securing the top spot on the points table with 13 points. Japan has won four matches while one game ended in a draw.
Whereas, the Pakistan side is ranked second on the points table with 11 points. Green Shirts won three games while two games ended in draw, including the one against New Zealand.
The final match will kick off at 5:30 pm. as both the teams are eyeing to secure the trophy.
Additionally, Canada will play against Korea in the 5th/6th place match at 1:00 pm today.
Meanwhile, Malaysia will face New Zealand for the 3rd/4th position at 3:15 pm.
Earlier, Pakistan had beaten Canada by 5-4. Abu Bakar Mahmood scored a brace as Pakistan made a remarkable comeback in the crunch game. Rana Waheed Ashraf, Liaqat Arshad, and Ali Ghazanfar had scored a goal each.
That was Pakistan’s third victory in the tournament. The Green Shirts had outplayed Malaysia and South Korea also.
