Pakistan travel restrictions for international passengers from 23 countries extended.

Amid a spike in coronavirus cases, Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority has extended travel restrictions for international passengers arriving from 23 category-C countries.

The restrictions will remain enforced till 30th of this month.

The countries face restrictions also include India.

In this regard, Aviation Division issued a brief press note.

Excluded

Besides, Aviation Division has attached a list that only Pakistanis, diplomatic passport holders and their families would be allowed to enter Pakistan under certain SOPs.

Those SOPs include: 72-hour old PCR test before boarding a flight to Pakistan.

Whereas, the passengers coming from 20 category-A countries including China and Saudi Arabia do not require COVID-19 PCR test before entry into Pakistan.

Furthermore, it said that all countries not specified in categories A and C fell in category B.

Meanwhile, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on National Health, Dr Faisal Sultan has appealed religious scholars.

He appealed to them to play their role in educating people during holy month of Ramazan to strictly adopt special preventive measures.

In a televised briefing after meeting of National Command and Operation Center, he expressed these views.

He further said COVID-19 positivity ratio has doubled in the past few days reaching ten percent in the country.

He said increasing trend of disease has caused burden on the country’s health system.

Particularly, it caused burden in urban centers.
