Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Balochistan CM Review Security Situation in Quetta

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Quetta on Saturday, where he met with Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti and co-chaired a high-level meeting on the province’s law and order situation. During the meeting, Chief Minister Bugti briefed participants on the overall security environment, while both sides reviewed measures aimed at strengthening peace and stability across the province.
The meeting decided to further enhance the professional capacity of the Balochistan Police, with the Interior Ministry assuring full cooperation in providing the resources required to improve the force’s operational capabilities. Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that the federal government would continue extending every possible support to achieve lasting peace in Balochistan and stressed the need for implementing a comprehensive master plan to restore security. He also called for benefiting from the experience of former police chiefs and highlighted the importance of adopting modern technology and a coordinated strategy in the fight against terrorism.
Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti reaffirmed the provincial government’s resolve to remain one step ahead of terrorists on every front, stating that the writ of the state would be upheld at all costs. He vowed that no space would be left for terrorist elements in Balochistan and expressed confidence that, with the federation’s continued support, sustainable peace and stability would be established across the province.
