National Assembly to Meet Today with 16-Point Agenda

The National Assembly will meet at 5 p.m. today with a 16-point agenda, according to the issued agenda. Members will raise questions and receive responses from the relevant ministries, while the issue of high fees charged by medical colleges and private hospitals in Islamabad will also be taken up.
Education Minister Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui will introduce the National Skills University Amendment Bill 2026, the Federal Urdu University Amendment Bill 2026 and the International Islamic University Amendment Bill 2026. Minister for Science and Technology Khalid Hussain Magsi will present the National Metrology Institute Amendment Bill 2026. The House will also consider the Travel Agencies Amendment Bill 2026, Pakistan Tourist Guides Amendment Bill 2026 and Pakistan Hotels and Restaurants Amendment Bill 2026, with a motion seeking approval of the Tourist Guides bill also included in the agenda.
The session will also include debate on a motion of thanks regarding the President’s address to the joint sitting of Parliament on March 2. The issue of continuous erosion of the Indus River and the resulting flood threat in Layyah will also be raised. Other important matters will be taken up under Rule 18, in addition to points of order.
