AJK Citizens Reject Strike Call by Disruptive Group

Conscious citizens of Azad Jammu and Kashmir rejected the so-called strike call given by a disruptive group. The group’s alleged attempts to disturb peace and create unrest in Azad Jammu and Kashmir failed.

On September 9, educational institutions and commercial centres remained open in all major districts of AJK, while traffic continued to move normally on the roads.

Rejecting the strike call, citizens said they were tired of repeated strikes. They said strikes and sit-ins were not a solution to any problem.

Citizens said forced strikes and shutdowns caused economic losses for ordinary people. They added that such protests were not improving people’s situation but making it worse.

They said the government had always accepted public demands, which was why people showed their confidence by taking part in elections in large numbers.

Citizens also said the business community of Azad Kashmir was not participating in any protest or strike call by any group seeking to create unrest.

By rejecting the strike call, the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir have demonstrated their awareness and responsibility.
