Peshawar Police Seize Vehicle Carrying Slingshots Ahead of PTI Long March

PESHAWAR: Police have taken a vehicle into custody after allegedly finding a large quantity of slingshots being transported to Peshawar ahead of a planned long march on September 23, according to police sources.

The sources said law enforcement personnel seized the vehicle and arrested its driver after the material being transported for the protest was set on fire.

According to the sources, the slingshots were being transported for use during the long march in Peshawar.

The incident comes amid preparations for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest, with authorities maintaining heightened security arrangements in the city.

Past PTI protests have also been accompanied by incidents of violence, property damage and public-order concerns, according to authorities and media reports.
