Pakistan Strongly Condemns Houthi Militia Attack on Madinah Power Station

Pakistan has strongly condemned the Houthi militia’s reported attack on an electricity transmission station in Madinah and expressed complete solidarity with Saudi Arabia.
According to the Foreign Office, the Houthi militia targeted the power transmission facility on September 29. Pakistan said the attack on civilian infrastructure supplying electricity to the Prophet’s Mosque was unacceptable and deeply hurt the sentiments of millions of Muslims around the world.
The Foreign Office stressed that the safety and sanctity of the Two Holy Mosques, as well as the protection of pilgrims and visitors, must be respected under all circumstances.
Pakistan called for an immediate and unconditional end to such attacks, warning that continued attacks against Saudi territory pose a serious threat to regional peace and security.
The Foreign Office reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for Saudi Arabia and said Islamabad fully respects the Kingdom’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and sanctity.
Pakistan also reiterated its support for Saudi efforts to protect the Two Holy Mosques, safeguard its people and ensure the safety of pilgrims and visitors.
The Foreign Office said Pakistan has consistently worked for peace and stability in the region and will continue its efforts to promote regional peace and prevent further escalation.
Pakistan has previously condemned attacks attributed to the Houthi militia against Saudi Arabia and reaffirmed its solidarity with the Kingdom.
