Pleasant surprise! Sindh Governor Tessori makes big offer to Jamaat-e-Islami

Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has made a big offer to the leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami.

The Sindh governor has offered the leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami that they should stage a sit-in inside the Governor’s House.

He said that he supports the sit-in against inflation, but don’t take revenge from the people by making them suffer. In view of the rain, apart from pakoras, I will provide food and drink as well as free food for the youth participating in the protest, Tessori said, offering admissions to IT courses to the participants of the protest.

Earlier, Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Ameer Munem Zafar Khan said that a sit-in will be held at the Governor House on Wednesday (today)  for the solution of  people’s problems.

He added that our demand is that the anti-people and cruel contracts made with IPPs should be canceled and the licence of K Electric should be cancelled. He also demanded forensic audit of K Electric and all IPPs and abolishment of heavy taxes in electricity bills and cruel slab system.

Meanwhile, the Jamaat-e-Islami’s sit-in in Rawalpindi’s Liaquat Bagh has entered its sixth day for the reduction in electricity prices today.

The second round of talks between Jamaat-e-Islami and the government will be held at 3 pm today.

Addressing the sit-in, Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has said that paying the electricity bill has now become impossible for 98 per cent of the people.
