PM says CPEC complements Pakistan efforts to geo economic shift with emphasis on economic integration and regional connectivity.

Prime Minister Imran Khan was virtually addressing the participants of Communist Party of China and World Political Parties Summit.

He said that in the wake of emerging global and regional environment, Pakistan has recalibrated its priorities from geo-politics to geo-economics.

He said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor complements Pakistan’s renewed efforts of this geo-economic shift with emphasis on economic integration and regional connectivity.

He said Pakistan and China are iron brothers, who support each other on issues of their respective core interests.

Khan said in an era of complex and profound changes at global and regional level, our ‘All Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership’ remains a strong anchor for peace, progress and prosperity.

The Prime Minister said this year also marks the 70th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.

He further said Pakistan supports China’s efforts to safeguard world peace, contribute to global development, and preserve international order.

Meanwhile, PM inaugurated Gwadar Free Zone and Expo Centre and other projects on Monday.

During his visit to Gwadar, Prime Minister Imran Khan also inaugurated Agriculture Industrial Park and three factories.

China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)

Moreover, the PM also witnessed signing of various MoUs.

Chairman China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority said CPEC has put Balochistan on the path of progress and prosperity.

CPEC Authority chairman Lt. Gen (Retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa stated this, while addressing the groundbreaking ceremony of various development projects in Gwadar today.

Meanwhile, the Chairman CPEC Authority also released a video message.

He said that work for Iran’s trade through Gwadar Port is in progress and it would start soon.
