PM Shehbaz to chair NEC meeting today

The National Economic Council (NEC) will meet today under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in which the representatives of the four provinces will participate.

According to GTV, provincial chief ministers, federal and provincial ministers and other officials will participate in the meeting.

The annual plan for the financial year 2023-24 will be reviewed and the plan for 2024-25 will be approved in the meeting.

The huddle will also consider the 113th five-year plan 2024-29, reviewing the progress report of the Central Development Working Party.

The notification states that Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Ministers Khawaja Asif, Muhammad Aurangzeb and Ahsan Iqbal have been appointed council members, besides Deputy Chairman Planning Commission, Finance Secretary will be able to attend the council meeting on special invitation.

Secretary Economic Affairs and Federal Minister Ahad Cheema will also be able to participate in the council meeting on special invitation.
