PML-N surprised by its senator in Senate

PML-N Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed demanded amnesty for PTI founder Imran Khan.

Expressing his views in the Senate session being chaired by Acting Chairman Mirza Afridi, Mushahid Hussain said that PTI founder should be released as he is a political prisoner. He also demanded an amnesty for the PTI founder.

PTI has the right to get reserved seats in parliament, the PML-N senator continued.

Mushahid Hussain Syed said that the relations of political people with institutions should be improved.

On the other hand, on the request of PTI, Acting Chairman Senate Mirza Afridi directed to issue the production order of Senator Ejaz Chaudhry to exercise the right to vote in the coming presidential election.

Meanwhile, Justice Malik Shehzad Ahmed Khan took oath as the Chief Justice of Lahore High Court today.

Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman administered oath to Chief Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmed Khan.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also participated in the swearing-in ceremony. Senior lawyers and other personalities also participated in the event.

Yesterday, Sunni Ittehad Council Chairman Sahibzada Hamid Raza had challenged the Election Commission of Pakistan’s decision of not allotting reserved seats to the party in the Lahore High Court.

In the petition filed by the chairman of Sunni Ittehad Council, the Election Commission of Pakistan has been made a party, in which it has been said that the commission is neither a tribunal nor a court.
