Presidential Awards are given to blue-eyed persons here, says Fazila Qazi

Fazila Qazi, a senior actress of the Pakistani showbiz industry, has complained that here the Presidential Awards are given to the blue-eyed persons as the organisers do not see the working actors.

Recently, Fazila Qazi along with her husband and senior actor Qaiser Nizamani participated as a guest in a private TV show where they discussed various issues.

In response to a question asked by the host, Qaiser Nizamani said that he was awarded the Presidential Award by the government of Pakistan at a time when artists were awarded only on the basis of work.

Nizamani further said that he got the award for his work, fans and family and he is also very grateful to Pakistan for this award.

On the occasion, Fazila Qazi said that receiving the Presidential Award is a great achievement and artists are also proud to receive such awards.

She sarcastically said that thankfully her husband received the Presidential Award in an era when awards were given not on the basis of recommendations but on seeing the artist’s work.

The actress revealed that various people including TV channels make recommendations for the Presidential Awards and a file is created for each artist.

She said that her file has also been lying for the award for the last five years, but the awardees and recommenders do not see her file.

The actress further said that she doesn’t know who people are sitting in the cabinet division who do not see the working artists.
