PSL9: How Qalandars, United players statistically stack up

The HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) carnival is about to begin with an opening match between defending Champions Lahore Qalandar and Islamabad United.

A glittering opening ceremony is scheduled to take place before the tournament in which the country’s famous artists will perform their art, while fireworks and laser show will also be organized for the fans.

The opening ceremony of the tournament will begin at 06:30 PM at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Entry of cricket fans will start at 03:30 PM.

Singers Ali Zafar, Aima Baig, Arif Lohar and Noori will perform in the opening ceremony.

As far as teams are concerned, fans are excited to see the return of Naseem Shah, who will be playing for Islamabad United for the first time since recovering from injury.

He joined United in recently concluded HBL PSL9 drafts. Imad Wasim will also be catching the attention as he is embarking on new journey with United. He was an integral part of the Karachi Kings since the inaugural edition.

For Qalandars, they will be missing their star leg-spinner Rashid Khan, who underwent back surgery before the tournament. Apart from that, they have a strong squad with Shaheen Shah Afridi leading the pack.
