Other leaders including PTI leader Sheikh Waqas Akram, Aamir Dogar and Zain Qureshi have also been arrested from parliament on Monday night.

Barrister Gohar’s release comes hours after National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq announced to take action on the yesterday’s arrests made from the premises of the Parliament.

In the National Assembly session today, the members of parliamentarians discussed the incident of last night, on which Ayaz Sadiq said that he will take action on what happened in the house last night.

The Speaker said that they will have to take a stand on this in any case. I have asked for videos not only of all the gates (doors) but everywhere so that we can put the responsibility on whoever is responsible, he added.

The Speaker further said that he considered himself unlucky that in 2014 a party and his cousin attacked the parliament and he was on this chair. The second attack was on the room of Maulana Salahuddin Ayub and that too was our bad luck.
