PTI founder, others acquitted in Sec 144 violation case

The District and Sessions Court has given its verdict in the case filed with Tarnol police station related to protest and vandalism violating Section 144.

In its verdict, the court has acquitted the PTI founder, Asad Umar, Faisal Javed, Ali Nawaz and others in the case.

It should be noted that a case was registered against the accused on May 26, 2022 with Tarnol police station for violating Section 144.

Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Shabbir issued the decision to accept the acquittal pleas that were filed separately by the suspects under Section 249-A of the law.

The verdict highlighted further trial would be a futile exercise as the accused could not be punished in the case.
