PTI has history of not accepting poll results: Malik Ahmad

PML-N leader Malik Ahmad Khan has said that the PTI does not accept the results even when it is in the government.

While giving a press conference in Lahore on Sunday, Malik Ahmad Khan said that PTI has not learnt any lesson even from May 9 incident.

He said that on May 9, the youth were brought to the front of government and they were used as tool. Ahmad further said that this is the worst abuse of Pakistan. It was a conspiracy against Pakistan’s politics, economy and forces.

Talking about the elections, the PML-N central leader said that the example of Daska election is in front of you. The proceedings of Daska election were held in Umar Atta Bandial’s court and that is in front of you, he added.

Even, the PTI had reasoned alleged rigging for the sit-in staged on Aug 14, 2014. The PML-N leader said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has a history of not accepting election results.

Talking about the statement of former Pindi commissioner, Malik Ahmad Khan said that the commissioner has nothing to do with the election process or the Election Commission of Pakistan.

He further said that the Commissioner of Rawalpindi is neither RO nor DRO.

Earlier, newly-appointed Rawalpindi Commissioner Saif Anwar Jappa, who was appointed in place of Liaquat Ali Chattha,  after taking the charge held a press conference along with the DROs of Jhelum, Attock and Chakwal.

Speaking at the conference, Commissioner Saif Anwar Jappa had denied the allegations of rigging levelled by the former commissioner.

The commissioner had no connection in the recent elections except for coordination. An independent inquiry should be conducted into the allegations, told reporters.

On the occasion, the district returning officer of Rawalpindi demanded an inquiry into the allegations of the former commissioner and said that the recent elections were conducted in a very transparent and fair manner. There was no pressure on us, he cleared.
