PTI’s Raoof Hassan gets bail in PECA case
The District and Sessions Courts on Thursday granted bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Raoof Hassan in a case filed under the PECA Act.
His bail was approved against bonds of Rs. 50,000 each. Duty Magistrate Abbas Shah announced the reserved judgment in Islamabad.
However, his release would not be possible on Thursday despite getting bail because he is in the custody of CTD on a two-day remand by the Anti-Terrorism Court.
In the previous hearing, the court had rejected the request for further physical remand of the PTI Information Secretary, and other accused under the PECA Act, and had sent them to judicial remand in jail.
Hassan and other accused were produced before the court of Judicial Magistrate Shabeer Bhatti after the physical remand.
