Punishing Nawaz on Iqama was mistake: Aleema

29 March, 2024 10:50

Aleema Khan, the sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan, has said that it was a mistake of the judges to punish Nawaz Sharif on Iqama in the Panama case.

Talking to the media outside the Islamabad High Court, Aleema Khan said that the letter of 6 judges has exposed many people and unless the judges stand for justice there will be no justice. Lawyers stood for ex-CJP Iftikhar Chaudhry should stand in solidarity with these judges today, she added.

She also said that the judge had made a mistake in the Panama case. The case in which Nawaz Sharif was the punished was Iqama and he was not punished in the original case. If there was a punishment in the original case, he would not be walking like this today.

Aleema Khan said that if you listen to the case, there will be no doubt from the statement of Asad Majeed and the 10-year sentence in the cipher case and the treason case will be buried. This case is being conducted to save Donald Lu, she alleged.

She further asked that there were nine copies of the cipher, ask how many have been returned, where are the remaining copies of the cipher?

Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan had vowed that there is not a single court in the country to provide justice to the PTI chief. The PTI chief is the leader of his own party despite being jailed.

She asserted that What the PTI chairman said to us in jail on October 24 is being proven correct.“ He said that there was not a London plan but an agreement was made in London. Whatever is happening now is taking place under that agreement and in my opinion, our courts are supporting that agreement,” she alleged.
