Rain expected in parts of Pakistan

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast hot and dry weather in most parts of the country in coming days.

According to details, there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in north-east Punjab, Potohar, Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.

However, the weather is likely to remain partly cloudy in the capital Islamabad and surrounding areas.

The weather will remain hot and dry in Sindh and Balochistan as well.

Rain is also expected in Murree, Galiat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal and other areas.

Lahore, Sheikhupura, Okara and Sargodha are also likely to receive rain accompanied by gusty winds. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, there is a possibility of rain in districts like Dir, Swat and Peshawar.

The weather will be partly cloudy in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan while rain and thundershowers are predicted at some places.

It is to be noted that the recent heavy rains in Karachi have made the roads very bad.
