Peshawar Zalmi opener Saim Ayub, who is also becoming handing with his off-spin, has achieved a unique HBL Pakistan Super League feat.

Known for his sensational batting, Sami wasn’t able to help his side with the willow in hand but made an instant impact when captain Babar Azam handed him the ball.

When asked to open the bowling for Zalmi, he made a stunning start by bowling out Alex Hales on the first delivery against Islamabad United in the 20th game of season nine.

The 22-year-old rattled the stumps of the Englishman with a peach of the delivery.

With this wicket, he became the first player in the tournament’s history to be dismissed on the first ball as well as taking a wicket on the first ball of the match.

It must be noted that United ended Zalmi’s winning streak in Rawalpindi with a 29-run victory.
