Samsung Galaxy Buds FE explosion leaves user with hearing loss

A disturbing incident has come to light in Turkey, where a user claims that a pair of Samsung Galaxy Buds FE earbuds exploded, causing permanent hearing damage to his girlfriend.

The alleged incident has sparked widespread concern and raised questions about the safety of Bluetooth devices.

According to a post on Samsung’s Turkish community forum, the user purchased the Galaxy Buds FE to pair with his Galaxy S23 Ultra.

After using the earbuds straight out of the box, his girlfriend borrowed them and experienced the shocking incident. One of the earbuds allegedly exploded while she was wearing it, resulting in significant hearing loss.

The user took the damaged earbuds to a Samsung service center in Adana, where staff initially appeared apologetic.

However, after a two-day investigation, Samsung reportedly downplayed the incident, claiming the earbuds had merely “deformed” and not exploded. T

Samsung offered a replacement of the same model as a goodwill gesture but stated, “Take it or leave it,” also advising the user that he was free to take legal action if unsatisfied.

The user expressed frustration with the outcome, saying that he had documentation, including the invoice, photos, and medical records confirming the hearing loss was caused by the explosion.

This is not the first reported incident of wireless headphones causing severe injuries. Previous cases have underscored the potential risks associated with faulty assembly and design.

Samsung has faced criticism for its response to the incident, with many calling for greater accountability and transparency.

It should be noted here that Samsung Galaxy Buds FE are wireless earbuds designed to provide seamless audio experiences for users.
