Several Pakistan players set to lose central contract

The top brace of the Pakistan Cricket Board is already mulling over major changes following an embarrassing exist from the ICC T20 World Cup.

With the match between the US and Ireland abandoned due to rain on Friday, the co-hosts secured one point, consequently ending Pakistan’s hopes of proceeding in the tournament.

Several matters were discussed in a late night hurdle chaired by Mohsin Naqvi, the PCB Chairman on Friday.

According to Geo News, the top officials reviewed players’ performances and made some tough decision moving forward.

Some of the players are likely to be demoted from the central contracts, while some of them may be axed from it altogether.

Apart from that, some of the players are likely to be dropped from the side completely following their below-par performance.

All-rounder Imad Wasim, wicketkeeper Azam Khan and a few other are among them.
