Bilal Khan, a Pakistani-origin Omani pacer, has made history by becoming the fastest seamer to take 100 One-Day International (ODI) wickets, surpassing Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi’s record.

He surpassed Pakistan’s pacer Shaheen Afridi’s record during Oman’s ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 match against Namibia, where he claimed three wickets and registered impressive figures of 3/50 in his 10 overs.

Khan reached this milestone in just 53 matches, making him the fastest seamer to achieve this feat. However, Nepalese spinner Sandeep Lamichhane holds the overall record for the fastest bowler to reach 100 ODI wickets in just 42 matches.

Afghanistan’s legendary spinner Rashid Khan also achieved this milestone in fewer games than Khan.

Notably, Bilal is also the first bowler from his country to take 100 or more wickets in ODIs. In addition to 101 wickets in 49 ODIs, he has also claimed 110 wickets in 79 T20Is.
